POSITION SUMMARY:

As a member of the Human Resources team, this position will provide People Services Administrative support and guidance in the areas of attendance tracking, policy, and procedures. This position will assist with short-term projects and support the department through completion of a variety of daily tasks. Will also support EHS department in program enhancement and implementation support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reception coverage
  • Track daily attendance.
  • Coordinate and administer leaves of absences, and other approved leaves.
  • Maintain company bulletin boards to ensure compliance with Federal, Provincial, and local posting requirements.
  • Maintain information on company TV systems to ensure items are broadcast with up-to-date material.
  • Assist with scheduling interviews, reference checks and other recruitment activities.
  • Maintain employee files and the filing related correspondence into employee files including perfromance management
  • Assist with onboarding in Neogov and Personality
  • Compile and prepare new hire packages.
  • Assist in the administration and coordination of occupational and non-occupational illness and injury with providers including STD, LTD, WCB, and MPIC claims.
  • Compile, track, and report data as required.
  • Coordinate the ordering of office and lunchroom supplies.
  • Assist all HR staff with administrative tasks when required.
  • Provide administrative support of Winnipeg EHS
    • assist with respirator fit testing for new hires and re-fit testing for current employees.
    • incident investigation data entry

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 2+ years' experience in an administrative role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Ability to set priorities and organize workloads
  • Ability to function within a manufacturing environment
  • Office physical requirements - sitting, standing, and walking
