Front Desk/Office Administrator.

Are you a friendly and organized professional with a knack for making everyone feel welcome? Join our dynamic team as a Front Desk/Office Administrator! In this highly visible role, you'll be one of the first points of contact for our guests, contractors, vendors, and new employees. Reporting to the HR Director, this position works closely to support our VP, Operations and will work in the office between 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.

Please note, this position works fully on site in our office in Bedford, NS - 5 days a week.

About the Role.

  • Manage visitor logs and greet visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Monitor and manage access to the building and secure areas, issuing visitor badges and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Schedule and follow up on maintenance and repair requests.
  • Provide general office support, including keeping the kitchen and common areas tidy and well-maintained.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating company events, meetings, and functions.
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Work in the office from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Skills/Experience.

  • 2 - 3 + years working in a similar receptionist or front desk capacity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Strong administrative and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing, fast paced, environment
  • Ability to manage one's time effectively to work on multiple tasks
  • Experience with Google's suite of tools and other office applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Friendly, professional, organized, and approachable
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.

Bonus Points.

  • Experience working in a similar industry and environment would be considered a strong asset.
