We are looking for a Fabricator Apprentice (TIG) who will be responsible for reading & understanding schematics and blueprints and fabricating metal parts and structures per the customer request, working with mostly stainless steel. As a Fabricator you are a key point in assisting the team, learning, and developing skills to proceed towards becoming fully licensed. We are looking to add someone to our team who is eager to learn, detail-orientated and a team player. It is crucial that the Fabricator apprentice promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use of TIG Welding to fabricate custom projects
  • Fitting together metal pieces according to blueprints and schematics
  • Use of brake press, shear, saw, and ironworker to fabricator pieces
  • Grinding/Polishing/finishing welds
  • Assist with various shop projects, including shop maintenance
  • Fabrication of various jobs/projects
  • Able to read blueprints/drawing/sketches
  • Knowledge of Tri-Mach Group Inc. HACCP and GMP guidelines and practices
  • Read and understand schematics and blueprints
  • Conduct quality control checks
  • Work closely with designers & engineers & product development
  • Accurate and timely completion of all daily paperwork
  • Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
  • In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the Company
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of High School or equivalent
  • Previous 1-3 years of fabrication experience
  • Stainless Steel TIG welding experience is essential
  • You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
  • You operate with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team
  • You have the ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues
  • You are able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately
  • You are a straight shooter who gets to the point and can clearly communicate in both oral and written form

ASSETS

  • CWB tickets considered a strong asset
  • Forklift License or experience is an asset
