By joining the Mechanical Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the detailed design, development and sustainment of our medical simulation and training products! Ready to:

• execute the design and development for the Medical Simulator family of products.
• coordinate hardware integration tasks and design reviews with other groups throughout product development.
• command a clear understanding of all technical requirements for assigned projects.
• provide technical expertise during subjective and objective evaluations of training devices.
• communicate with sales representatives and medical professionals to ensure system requirements are met.
• collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to turn biomedical functional system requirements into mechanical design solutions.
• lead and execute mechanical product development through the entire product lifecycle.
• create DFMEA documentation to manage risks and improve quality.

Requirements

• has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or relevant work experience in new product development.
• has 4+ years of relevant mechanical design experience, SolidWorks experience an asset.
• enjoys design challenges and working in a fast-paced development environment.
• experience in design for biomedical applications, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and electro-mechanical systems considered an asset.
• has experience in DFM (Design for Manufacturability) of injection molded, cast, machined and sheet metal parts.
• has experience working in a hands-on lab and prototyping environments.
• is a dynamic team player with sense of initiative, results-oriented, has good team spirit.
• has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• has a creative mindset and the talent to turn ideas into quality products.
