This role will be based out of our injection molding plant facility located in Barrie, ON.

Base Pay Rate: $30.78/hour + based on experienceHours Of Work: 12-hour Continental ShiftPrimary Responsibilities

Taking care of simple to complex injection moulds requiring the incumbent to possess strong interpersonal, listening, mechanical, troubleshooting and observation skills while handling and solving issues.

Clean, inspect, conduct minor repairs as necessary to prepare mould bases as per production schedule, updating mould base file with current information

Re-stock inventory on a weekly basis

Incoming inspection of new and transferred molds

Prepare mould bases for Mould Shop as per their request

Responsible for following and carrying out HWIN Manifest Procedure

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent
• 5+ years experience disassembling and reassembling Injection Moulds, motors or similar is required.
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude with the ability to work comfortably with Hand tools and various power tools
• Computer skills with basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word, Outlook email, etc.
• Forklift experience, and previous Overhead Crane Certification is an asset
• Minimum Class G License required
• Ability to lift and handle 50 lbs. blocks of steel
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
• Ability to learn new tasks and the drive to ensure customer satisfaction
• Familiarity with moulds with slides, lifters, mechanical pull and set operations
• Experience working with jigs and fixtures
• Team Player

Working conditions

Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50lbs alone. Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, odours, cold, dust, noise levels and the use of sharp tools.

Semi-climate-controlled production plant environment

Standing majority of the shift on concrete floors

Lifting - light to heavy (up to 85 lbs) (For anything over 50lbs ask for assistance)

Noise - range from 75 – 85 D.B.A, Mandatory Hearing Protection Provided
