The Process Engineer will be based in Calgary and will provide project engineering support, including leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in the production of technical deliverables for the various projects assigned to them. This role is based in the office with trips to site as required.
- Established the project process design bases and ensures these are met by the contractor designs.
- Reviews contractor design documents to ensure they are consistent with the current Albian operating practices. This requires a good understanding of the plant operating envelope including alarms and operating targets.
- Participates in design reviews as required. These may include model reviews, HAZOPs, SILs, etc.
- Support operations team for any required updates of operating procedures and equipment isolation plans.

Requirements
- Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mineral Processing with P.Eng designation.
- 5+ years of direct Oil Sands experience is preferred with experience as a Process Engineer in a extraction and tailings processes.
- Experience with PI and the SRC Slurry model would be an asset.
- Ore and slurry handling experience would be an asset.
- Be able to effectively communicate with operations and maintenance teams.
- Are you currently eligible to work in Canada? (For example: permanent resident, valid work permit, etc).
