POSITION SUMMARY

Ensure engineering documents are completed, processed, organized, and distributed accurately and on time. Perform a detailed audit of Engineering Change Notices ensuring they meet Engineering policies and procedures. Support organizational departments with their engineering document needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Audit Engineering Change Notices for accuracy and compliance to Engineering policies and procedures and enforce where necessary.
  • Accurately create/update Engineering Bill of Materials for release based on information supplied by design groups.
  • Release Engineering Change Notices and drawings in support of production activities.
  • Provide process and policy guidance to all Engineering staff members.
  • Maintain all Engineering release documents and drawing files.
  • Monitor Engineering Change Notice activity and institute pull system when necessary to meet targets.
  • Track Engineering Change Notice and drawing first pass yield failure rate.
  • Participate in process improvement activities to improve efficiencies.
  • Assist Chief Engineering Manager - Quality with special projects and assignments when required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Administrative / Business Certificate
  • 2-3 years in related areas as job requirements.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of SharePoint and Oracle ERP. Knowledge of the Siemens Teamcenter application is an asset.
  • Experience with handling engineering documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
