You should never feel bound to your desk at the office for eight hours a day every day; especially if you feel you could accomplish your work more efficiently in a different setting. After all, we're professionals here, so we trust that we will not have to keep tabs on everyone. In the year 2024 there is no reason to force people to sit in their chairs from 9-5 just to satisfy archaic modes of work. The goal is to get the work done in the most efficient and comfortable way possible.
