About The Confederacy of Mainland Mi‘kmaq
The Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq (The CMM) is a Tribal Council dedicated to representing the eight Mi'kmaq communities of mainland Nova Scotia. Our mission is to proactively promote and assist Mi'kmaq communities' initiatives towards self-determination and enhancement of community. The CMM's Department of Aquatic Resources & Fisheries Management (DARFM) focuses on building capacity and providing information on renewable energy, with a strong emphasis on Geothermal Energy, to support Mi'kmaw community engagement and development.
