About Health + Community Care Workforce Sector Council (HCHRSC)
We are the Sector Council for Health and Community Care Workforce in Nova Scotia. Our mandate is to provide human resources knowledge, expertise, programs to best serve the healthcare and person support workforce.
We provide training for the following core programs: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), The Working Mind (TWM), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging training, (Pilot) Certificate in Inclusive Leadership (CIL), Contagious Resiliency Leadership (CRL), (Pilot) Psychological Safety Assessments (in partnership with Opening Minds/Mental Health Commission of Canada), (Pilot) Workforce Training (education) Consultant services (In partnership with WIPSI), Labor Market Data services, RN/LPN Long-Term Care Orientation program (with preceptor/mentorship), Supportive Palliative Approach to Long Term Care Program (SPA-LTC) in partnership with McMaster University and Pallum.
