About WGNS:
Wine Growers Nova Scotia is the voice of the province's wine industry, working to support its growth, sustainability and recognition locally, nationally and internationally. We collaborate with members and partners to strengthen the industry through advocacy, marketing, education, and community-building.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and collaborative Executive Director to lead WGNS. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED will drive the organization's mission, represent the industry's interests and build strong relationships with members, government, and industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides strategic and operational leadership for WGNS
• Manages organizational operations, finances, and funding opportunities
• Represents the industry in government and stakeholder relations
• Oversees export, marketing, and promotional initiatives which may include local, national, and international travel
• Supports member engagement and industry collaboration
• Leads key events and educational initiatives
• Leads, manages, and mentors two full-time team members to achieve individual and organizational goals.
• Work is remote with extensive virtual collaboration, and an expectation to attend in-person meetings as required.

Who We're Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader with a strong background in wine, agriculture, food and beverage, tourism or a related sector. The ideal candidate combines industry knowledge with a proven ability to advocate effectively, communicate with impact and foster collaboration - driving growth across a dynamic and evolving industry.

Compensation:
Competitive salary and benefits package, based on experience. Flexible working arrangements are available.
