AP/AR Supervisor

We have an immediate need within our corporate finance group for an AP/AR Supervisor based in Edmundston, Plaster Rock or Fredericton, New Brunswick. The corporate finance group supports all the accounting and financial reporting requirements for the company as well as the operations in New Brunswick and Maine.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Oversee the accounts payable process and supervise a team of two accounting clerks
- Prepare invoices for leases and other ad-hoc revenues and monitor receivables
- Review entry of accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accurate coding and classification
- Maintain customer and vendor master files
- Support the purchasing process
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Assist in month-end processes
- Maintain an orderly and accurate digital filing system
- Provide assistance in other accounting duties and tasks, as required
Skills/Qualifications required:
- Degree or diploma in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience supervising staff
- Demonstrated competency in accounting principles
- Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient English spoken and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a team member and willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks
- Ability to identify and manage priorities to meet specific deadlines
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Well organized and strong attention to accuracy and detail
Skills/Qualifications considered an asset:
- Bilingual (French/English)
