Plant Filling Operator

Our client is present in 80 countries; and the world leader in gases. We are hiring a temp Plant Filling Operator in Moncton. This is a full time, temporary position.

Job Title: Plant Filling Operator
Location: Moncton, NB
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Wage: $18.00-$20.00/hr

Job Details/Responsibilities:
* Prepare empty cylinders for filling by ensuring proper inspection and readiness for the filling process.
* Sort cylinders by product type and thoroughly inspect for any defects or damage.
* Clean cylinders as necessary and conduct appropriate tests to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
* Replace labels on cylinders and accurately input relevant data into the system.
* Responsible for the startup and shutdown procedures of filling equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
* Fill cylinders according to company standards, ensuring accuracy and safety throughout the process.
* Record the number of cylinders filled and document any discrepancies. Note irregularities, serial numbers, and other required details for tracking and reporting purposes.

Candidate Qualifications:
* High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
* Clean criminal record with no prior convictions.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis, ensuring physical capability to perform tasks effectively.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, technical knowledge, and planning skills to handle various operational tasks.
* Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
* Knowledge of compressed gases, including safe handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with industry regulations.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively convey information and ensure clear instructions and reporting.
