POSITION: Families Plus Clinical Interventionist
Locations: New Glasgow, Halifax & Bridgewater, Nova Scotia
Qualifications: Our Organization is seeking individuals with a Masters of Social Work degree, Masters Degree registered with NSCT or a Bachelors of social worker degree with a minimum of 5 years experience working with families and children. These positions are full-time permanent. The worker will need to work flex hours involving evenings and weekends.
Position Requirements: Reporting to the Coordinator of Families Plus Program, the Families Plus Worker is responsible for delivering the Families Plus program which is an intensive home-based client centered program. Skills required for the position include, but are not limited to: child development, attachment theory, knowledge of community resources, knowledge of child and family well-being system, trauma and violence informed support, strong theoretical framework and a therapeutic skill set. Persons considered for this position must have: membership in good standing with their professional regulatory association, a clear police background check, a clear child abuse registry check and a drivers' license. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority (all applicants should clearly indicate their status as a Canadian citizen or permanent resident).
