The New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission (NBLASC) is seeking a Lawyer to join the Family Law Services team on a full-time basis in Moncton.
This position will be required to travel to other areas of the province to assist with other regions from time to time.

What you will do
Family Law Services provides legal advice and legal representation to eligible individuals on family law matters. Your responsibilities will include:
· preparing legal advice/documents in respect of parenting orders, divorces, restraining orders, spousal support, and child support as provided under the available scope of services within the New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission (Family Law services); and
· providing legal services to respondents in child protection matters;
· preparing affidavits and briefs;
· interviewing witnesses;
· meeting with clients;
· attending court;
· researching points of law; and
· completing other duties as assigned.

Need to have (Essential qualifications and skills)
· Bachelor of Law Degree
· Membership in good standing or eligibility for membership with the Law Society of New Brunswick
· Completion of Articling
Please state your date of admission to a Canadian Law Society.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. In addition, French competency would be preferred. Please state your language capability.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.

Wage
$59,124-$111,280 Annually - NBLASC PIPSC Lawyer Series pay plan
$112,398-$147,264 Annually - NBLASC PIPSC Senior Lawyer Series pay plan
