The Pictou Landing First Nation Health Center is hiring a Community Health Nurse (RN or Licensed Practical Nurse) to work within PLFN community until October 2025.

Position: Full-time Contract

Occupational Certification

Eligibility for registration as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse in a province or territory of Canada.

Essential Experience

  • Has held an active role within the last three years as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing Community Health or Primary Care nursing services in one or more of the following areas:
  • Community Health (Public Health and Home and Community Care)
  • Primary Care
  • Urgent or Emergency Care
  • Acute or Intensive Care

Duties

  • Nursing
  • Health Promotion and Education
  • Immunization
  • Communicable and Reportable Disease
  • Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Care

Education

Graduation with a degree or diploma in nursing from a recognized post-secondary institution

Experience as an Asset

  • Chronic Disease Management (including Mental Health or Addictions)
  • Pediatrics
