Paper Machine Utility Person
Port Hawkesbury Paper is currently seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our paper production team as a Paper Machine Utility Person. This full-time position reports to the Day Supervisor and is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of supplies and equipment throughout the paper manufacturing plant. It requires the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. Work schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Skills/Competency Requirements:
· Ability to work safely and independently in a fast-paced work setting
· Strong communication skills
· Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills
· Proficient computer skills
· Flexibility to work overtime
· Ability to move throughout the plant on a regular/daily basis (including climbing multi-levels of stairs)
Experience/Education Requirements:
· At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
· Grade 12 or equivalent
· Experience operating equipment such as forklift and pallet jack
