Building Science Specialist

Position - Building Science Specialist

Capital Management Engineering Limited (CMEL) is currently seeking a Technician / Technologist to join our dynamic team in our Halifax office. The successful candidate will work with existing team members in completing building assessments, energy assessments, site visits - typically of single day duration, drawing take-offs, modeling, calculations and analysis, and various other duties as assigned. Travel is expected however is generally limited to short durations. The successful candidate will possess:

· An architectural engineering technician certificate or equivalent

· Knowledge of building systems and building construction

· Knowledge of energy modeling software is beneficial but not required

· A good command of the English language both written and spoken

· Excellent report writing skills, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

· A valid driver's license with the ability to rent a vehicle
