Background:
The Student Recruitment Advisor reports to the Director, Marketing and Recruitment, and is the front-line ambassador for the world-class Canadian CPA accounting programs. This specific role (one of three in the Atlantic region) is responsible for attracting students and workforce participants to the CPA accreditation path in Nova Scotia.
The successful candidate will quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of the CPA programs, features, and benefits, and draw on strong customer service and relationship-management skills. As a member of the CPA Atlantic School team, you will be the first point of contact on all CPA program enquiries in Nova Scotia for pre-admission eligibility and path requirements leading to the Chartered Professional Accountant designation. Providing excellent client service, you will manage all enquiries coming in directly whether in-person, by telephone, email and other communication mediums on an accurate and timely basis. Whether speaking to a university student or corporate controller, you will bring context, clarity, and inspiration for a decision that involves many complex considerations and a serious commitment.
Also, you will lead the planning, execution, and follow-up support for business-development initiatives across your markets including coordination and participation in information sessions held at various educational institutions, employers, career fairs, networking, sponsorship, and other events that lead to the attraction of prospects to the CPA profession. You will maintain the business-development database and CRM files including information entry, reporting and distribution of data as required.
Your department is an enthusiastic, five-person team spread over three provinces and includes two other student recruitment advisors in nearby regions (NB/PE and NL/BM) with whom you will work closely.
