Job Description:
- Reporting to the General Manager of Colbourne Auto, the Service Manager will:
- Guide and direct the activities of servicing/repair staff to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency
- Oversee the recruiting, orienting, and training of automotive service technicians to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction
- Oversight responsibility for department financials, customer service and employee satisfaction
- Effective process and workflow management tracking as per manufacturer policy and procedure
- Effectively interact with clients to identify their requirements and facilitate processes to meet customers' needs
- Assist Service Advisors at the service counter during busy times as required
- Provide accurate information for the warranty claim process
- Review time and attendance process to reduce idle time and ensure data accuracy
- Communicate with all teams in a timely manner and assist on any sales, service and parts needs
- Conduct team meetings on a regular basis
- Oversee the Customer Satisfaction Index process and respond to customer concerns as required
- Ensure compliance with health/safety regulations and oversee the safety committee
- Build and maintain positive work relationships with customers, staff and key stakeholders/partners
- Present reports to the General Manager and Fixed Operations Manager as required
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, automotive service management, or a related discipline
- Supervisory responsibility experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Strong collaboration, teamwork and communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Computer skills
- Conflict resolution experience and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Completion of Chrysler service manager training certification
- Safety certification or willingness to complete
