The Porter O'Brien team is expanding and we are looking for a Business Development Manager. This role will be a full time position that requires you to ensure that your colleagues are well served and on task with respect to acquiring potential clients, and that these leads are served with the most complete information they need to make a decision. You will build the infrastructure of a sales pipeline and be responsible for managing it.
This new role in the organization will be required to work with every team in the agency, and will require an outstanding ability to manage multiple projects at the same time along with exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
About the role:
- Planning and directing marketing or advertising campaigns as target clients are identified
- Work closely with cross-functional teams ensuring that sales presentations, including marketing collateral, are current, convincing, and cohesive and support business development objectives
- Managing all follow ups with potential clients including distribution of marketing materials, scheduling of secondary touchpoints, and answering any questions including delivery of proposals
- Creation and management of sales pipeline
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities
- May require work outside standard business hours periodically
About the candidate:
- Solid understanding of market research and data analysis
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems and tracking all deliverables in online formats
- Minimum of five years experience in professional business environments and sales
- Bilingualism in English and French is not required, but considered an asset
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field

Our compensation package includes not just a competitive base salary, performance bonus program and extensive benefits package, but also the equivalent of 8 weeks of paid time off each year through vacation, personal days, sick time and holidays. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications, for this position the base would be between $50,000 and $75,000.
