Custodian - Full Time
Hours: Evenings 1500 to 2300
Closes: When filled
Effective Date: ASAP

Position Description:
• Lead the project cleaning which would include tasks such as room cleaning, window cleaning, curtain washing and wall washing.
• Floor Care (light scrub & waxing) Able to follow a floor care program
• Assist or perform Snow Removal (shovel & salt walkways or snowblower if required)
• Assist or perform minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, plunging toilets or other similar activities
• Assist or perform receiving of deliveries
• Identify & report maintenance needs
• Laundry & Garbage pick up as required
• Housekeeping of Village Center offices, rooms & washrooms
• Assist with special events (Set up and dismantle tables, chairs, etc.)
• Assist residents moving into and out of the home
• Stocking supplies in the houses.
• Assist laundry operations

Qualifications:
• Physically capable of performing assigned duties, must be able lift 35lbs, and ability to work safely from a ladder.
• Must be able to use buffing machines and automatic floor scrubbers
• Ability to drive tractor & run snow blower considered an asset or willing to train
• Work independently in a team environment
• Willing to work on committees
• Willing to pursue further training
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe working practices and WHMIS
• Demonstrated knowledge of infection control practices
• Excellent Attendance
• Prior Years Education & current year role specific education completed by due date.
