The Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB), is looking for a qualified person to fill a position of Manager.
The CCNB-INNOV Network of the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) is made up of interconnected centres of expertise located in Bathurst (Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics), Caraquet (Advanced Materials) and Grand Falls (Bioeconomy), whose thirty full-time employees are assigned to meet provincial and regional needs in terms of industrial research and services.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the responsibility of the CCNB's INNOV Director, the person selected to fill this position will join a very active multidisciplinary team whose proven expertise is advantageously recognized in several industrial sectors and with government agencies active in scientific/socio-economic development. The main tasks will include:
- Manage the division's human, material and financial resources in accordance with CCNB and funders' standards.
- Write and review proposals for the implementation of industrial research and services projects, the acquisition of specialized equipment and the addition of qualified personnel.
- Ensure that projects are executed in accordance with expectations and within budgets and schedules.
- To set up fast, flexible services in line with the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises
- Ensure the Demonstrate thoroughness and rigor in the development and revision of documents and proposals related to the operations and development of the division.
- Develop innovative collaborations with companies, professional organizations, suppliers, post-secondary training institutions, funders and communities that can benefit from the division's activities and impacts. Contribute to the development of the division's capabilities to external clients to maximize its impact on the positioning and economic development of New Brunswick.
- Oversee business development and corporate client relationships. Keep abreast of the various institutional and industrial grant programs with a view to making the division more profitable and expanding the range of services offered by the division.
- Contribute to building a culture and capacity in industrial research and services so that CCNB can contribute to addressing provincial and regional socio-economic challenge.
- continuous improvement of the division's applied research and innovation management processes and practices and contribute to the implementation of a business model that promotes its sustainable growth by considering its current stage of development, both organizationally and financially.
- Contribute to the rapprochement of applied research and innovation activities with those of continuing education and international development at CCNB and promote synergy within and between CCNB-INNOV teams to ensure the development of new business opportunities.
- Establish strategic partnerships and maintain existing partnerships and ensure relationships with provincial and national funding agencies in the division's focus areas. And,
- Represent your division at events and with partners.
QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate must possess a master's degree in administration, engineering or science and five (5) years of relevant experience, including responsibilities in personnel supervision, financial management and project development/implementation.
A bachelor's degree in administration, engineering or science and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant business experience, including responsibilities in personnel supervision, financial management and project development/implementation.
Must be a Canadian resident or hold a valid work permit in New Brunswick.
Other important skills: Knowledge of spoken and written English and French is essential. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, writing, communication and leadership skills to work in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment. He or she must have knowledge of the principles and experience in modern management practices, particularly in the areas of innovation. It must be autonomous, productive and willing to meet the challenges of establishing a collegial structure dedicated to the needs of companies in terms of industrial research and services. The successful candidate will be willing to travel within the province, domestically or internationally, and work irregular hours. Know how to work confidentially with little supervision; know how to manage your time well; Have an eye for detail and the ability to prioritize and be versatile. Ability to show initiative; Be able to work under pressure. Have a good record of performance and Attendance. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is required.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Status: Full-time term position starting as soon as possible until March 31st, 2026, with possibility of renewal
Salary: Salary Range 07 - Management and Non-Unionized Staff (90 480 $ à 109 486 annually, depending on experience)
