Maritime Electric Company, Limited are seeking interested candidates for the following position:
Customer Service Utility Technician (CSUT)
These positions will be based across the island in the district offices; we ask candidates to indicate the location they are interested in being considered for: Central, Eastern or Western locations.
Reporting to the T&D Operations team, these roles will be responsible for line construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical and telecommunications equipment and responding to trouble/no power calls.
Successful candidates will have graduated as a Power Line Technician (PLT) from an accredited Indentured/Apprenticeship Program and have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified PLT. In addition, applicants must provide excellent customer service, possess technical problem-solving skills, possess a technical knowledge of line construction, and associated electrical work. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
The CSUT roles work in all weather conditions and on a shift schedule which includes evenings and weekends. The starting rate of pay for a CSUT is $41.66 (representing 90% of the full rate of $46.29) per hour, plus a shift differential when applicable.
