New Beginnings Activity Center

New Beginnings Perth-Andover Activity Center (NBPAAC) is currently looking for an Executive Director position to be filled as soon as possible.

New Beginning is an Activity Center located in Perth-Andover that provides services to Mental Health consumers & community members in the surrounding areas. New Beginnings provides a safe and comfortable setting for recreational activities where consumers may develop interactive social skills, meet new people, and develop greater self-esteem.

We are seeking an Executive Director to work 25 hours/week, $20/hour. Our successful candidate will be the face of New Beginnings and will be responsible for the planning and implementation of activities for our members within a budget.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications

· To work to spread awareness of the New Beginnings program throughout the community.

· To review New Beginnings referrals made by case managers and make initial contact with the client.

· To consult with Mental Health Case Managers about programs or initiatives, client behavior, or concerns.

· To be responsible for creatively planning, organizing, overseeing, and actively participating in the execution and planning of activities for our members.

· To be able to complete small projects. (creating surveys, grant writing, funding research)

· To complete office tasks such as typing, filing, answering the phone, taking messages, returning phone calls, greeting walk-ins, and other general office duties.

· To maintain a clean and tidy work environment.

· Must have organization and time management skills.

· Must have the ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and self-directed.

· Must have computer proficiency: word, excel, social media.

· Must have effective communication, listening, and writing skills.

· Must maintain confidentiality and boundaries while demonstrating a professional work ethic.

· Hours of operation may vary from week to week and include evenings and weekends.

· Monthly activity and office hour schedules are due two weeks prior to the beginning of the month.

· The Executive Director reports to, and is accountable to, a community Board of Directors

· Job requires a vehicle and transporting clients. (milage reimbursement)

· References required.
