Executive Director - Canadian Parents for French New Brunswick (CPF NB)

About Us: Canadian Parents for French New Brunswick (CPF NB) is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to providing opportunities for young Canadians to learn and use French as a second language. We are seeking an inspiring and strategic Executive Director to lead our mission, with a focus on program management and fostering collaboration between New Brunswick's English and French-speaking communities.

What You'll Do: As the Executive Director, you'll lead CPF NB by:

Shaping and implementing our organizational strategy and overseeing key programs.

Building strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and government.

Managing resources and leading a talented team to ensure our mission thrives.

Guiding media and government relations, along with advocacy efforts, to enhance CPF NB's impact.

Strengthening partnerships and supporting events like the annual Snider Mountain Camp and FSL tutoring programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Act as a role model for CPF NB, driving our long-term vision and fostering collaboration within the community. Seek new funding and opportunities to expand our reach.

Operations & HR: Oversee daily operations and ensure staff are supported, trained, and motivated. Lead performance reviews, succession planning, and maintain a positive workplace.

Financial Management: Manage our budget, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Seek Board approval for larger expenditures and new initiatives.

Advocacy & Engagement: Act as a key spokesperson, building relationships with key government officials, partners, and other community stakeholders. Support the Board and volunteers in advocacy and event planning.

What We're Looking For:

Bilingual: Strong verbal and written communication in both English and French is an asset.

Experience: Minimum of 5 - 10 years in senior management roles in the non-profit sector, with experience in political advocacy, public relations, or government relations.

Education: A post-secondary degree in fields like Non-Profit Management, Public Administration, Education, or Business Administration is preferred.

Skills: Experience in program management, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and financial oversight. Knowledge of French Second Language programs in New Brunswick is a bonus!

Why Join CPF NB?

Compensation: A competitive salary ranging from $77,000 to $83,000, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Work-Life Balance: Enjoy hybrid work arrangements and Friday afternoons off!

Impact: Your work will directly shape French Second Language opportunities for students across New Brunswick, supported by a dedicated team and community of volunteers.

How to Apply: Interested candidates can send their resume to Vance Recruitment at [email protected] by October 31, 2024 (11:59 PM Atlantic Time). Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. CPF NB is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible hiring process.
