CNC Machinist and Programmer

Job Title: CNC Machinist and Programmer Location: Burlington, ON
Rate of Pay: $23-$25/hour to start
Shift: Rotating Days and Afternoons (6:45am-3:15pm & 2:45pm to 11:00pm)
Job Type: Permanent Hire

We are actively hiring a permanent CNC Machinist & Programmer for our client in Burlington! This company specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of fire and explosion protection systems. Qualified candidates will have long-term CNC experience and should be comfortable programming machines. This is a direct hire role that offers opportunities for growth and learning with a successful company.

Responsibilities:
* Set up, program and operate CNC lathes, mills, vertical machining center, saws and other machinery
* Accurately read blueprints and mechanical drawings to complete customer orders
* Use calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools
* Check quality of materials before and after machining
* Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery
* Complete daily production logs, and safety related documentation
* Lifting 50lbs throughout your shift
* Other general duties as assigned

Candidate Qualifications:
* 2-3 years of experience in similar CNC machining and programming role
* Experience maintaining and programming CNC machinery
* Experience using various measuring tools
* Strong computer skills and experiencing using Microsoft Office programs
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout your shift
