Principal Accountabilities
Customer Billings:
- Produce labour slips for vessel calls
- Complete weekly miscellaneous billing including reefers, OT Rail activity, miscellaneous yard moves, genset mount/demount, pre-trip moves, expedited rail service, gate scaling
Treasury and Cash Management:
- Deposit all funds received from customers
- Reconcile all funds received to customer billings
Receivables Management:
- Liaise with all customers regarding account status and settlement
- Weekly reviews of collection status and follow-up as required
- Posting of billing and collection activity to the general ledger
- Prepare weekly billings reports for AR for all miscellaneous charges and monitoring of email customer requests.
Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience
An accounting diploma or similar with 3-5 years related work experience, knowledge of basic accounting principles and high proficiency in Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat is required. The ideal candidate will be a result driven individual with a high degree of attention to detail, able to follow policies and procedures, excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Work Environment
In office at 1096 Marginal Road, Halifax.
Hours of Work
This position works Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This is a full time, permanent salaried position with medical, dental and pension benefits and potential bonus opportunity.
