We are a web agency in Dieppe, New Brunswick, and have been in business for nearly 25 years. We create digital experiences that are accessible, effective and designed to meet users' expectations. Our specialization in accessible web design has earned us clients from across Canada and internationally. We host over 200 websites, all of which we have created for our clients.

To complete our amazing web development team, we are looking for a professional with high-level front-end and back-end development skills. We are seeking a candidate with a passion for web and technologies who can balance his technical talents with efficient solutions to deliver a continued level of superior service to our clients.

Role and Responsibilities

• Create user interfaces and components that are modular, performant, and maintainable using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Integrate complex responsive layouts.
• Ensure the final product respects design concepts.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Develop, configure and extend popular CMS, mainly Joomla
• Participate in meetings and assist Project Managers with estimates.
• Stay up-to-date on the evolution of web and technology trends.
• Participate in gathering information about client's needs and identifying technological solutions.

Basic Requirements and Key Competencies Required

• Experience as a web developer with expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, jQuery, and AJAX.
• Experience creating responsive, accessible (WCAG compliant) and SEO-friendly websites.
• Excellent understanding of cross-browser compatibility challenges and how to solve them.
• Minimum degree: College Diploma in programming or other relevant discipline or experience.
• Attention to detail and meticulous and organized work
• Ability to collaborate with others successfully
• Self-learning ability. Interest in current trends and up-to-date with the latest technological innovations
• Sense of responsibility

Not required but would be an asset

• Effective communicator in English and French
• Experience with Joomla and Drupal CMS
• Knowledge or interest in usability and user interface standards
• Knowledge of accessibility and SEO standards
• Knowledge of one or more Design Patterns
• Involvement in one or more open-source projects
• Willingness to learn and contribute more than the minimum responsibilities
