Custodian (Warehouse)

Job Title: Warehouse Custodian
Shift Time: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm or 10:30am - 7:00pm
Rate of Pay: $23/hour
Closest Intersection: James Snow Parkway North & Regional Road 25, Milton
Job Type: Ongoing Temporary

Successful candidates will have previous experience in a commercial or industrial custodial or cleaning role, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have a vehicle and valid drivers license to commute as the facility is not transit accessible.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, break rooms, visitor areas, meeting rooms, etc.
• Operate cleaning equipment (ie. floor scrubbing machine; polisher)
• Cleaning, dusting, and wiping shelving and racks
• Collecting recycling and trash, sorting, and removing
• Sweeping and mopping
• Other general building maintenance as needed (paint touch ups, replace lightbulbs, etc.)
• Perform general labour tasks as required to support regular operations

Candidate Qualifications:
• Previous long-term experience in custodial or janitorial role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift, push and slide up to 50lbs or more if necessary
• Reliable transportation required as this facility is not accessible via public transit
• Must be available for overtime as necessary
• Willing to provide a criminal record search
