Job Title: CNC Machinist and Programmer

Salary: $23.50-$25 / hour depending on experience

Shift: Rotating Days and Afternoons (1 week rotating)

Location: Burlington, Ontario - Mainway and Corporate Drive

Job Type: Permanent Hire

We are hiring a permanent CNC Machinist and Programmer for our client in Burlington that specializes in manufacturing and distribution of fire and explosion protective systems. Qualified candidates will have long-term CNC Lathe and Mill experience with set-up, machining, and programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, vertical machining center, saws and other machinery
  • Accurately read blueprints and mechanical drawings to complete customer orders
  • Check quality of materials before and after machining
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery
  • Complete daily production logs, and safety related documentation
  • Other general duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Long-term experience in similar CNC machining or machine operating role
  • Experience maintaining and programming CNC machinery as asset
  • Experience using various measuring tools
  • Strong computer skills and experiencing using Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs
  • Willing to provide Criminal Record Search
