Warehouse Shipper/Receiver

We are working with a client located in Toronto in the Dufferin St & Lawrence Ave. W area that is looking to hire a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver to join their busy team. This company is a leading wholesaler & distributor of Plumbing & Heating products, providing quality customer service and knowledge throughout the GTA.

In this position, the Shipper/Receiver will play an integral part in the warehouse team preparing and picking orders daily, packaging products and completing all shipping & receiving duties. This is a fast-paced work environment that will require you to be on your feet for the majority of the shift. If you have previous forklift experience & certificate to operate counterbalance and reach it will be seen as an asset but not required. The client can train & certify.

Location: Dufferin St & Lawrence Ave. W

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

Duties:

· Receive, pick, pack, label, and ship products to customers.

· Memorize and keep track of product locations.

· Operate industrial-powered equipment (forklift, pump trucks, etc).

· Restock and replenish bins as necessary.

· Accurately prepare pallet loads and provide quality control of the products.

· Maintain the work area cleanliness, organization and safety of the warehouse.

· Check the goods for quality in the shipping & receiving areas.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies & procedures.

· Fill in other positions if needed.

· Complete all administrative tasks for the department.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Able to lift packages up between 40lbs to 50lbs.

· Able to lift/carry/move or arrange boxes while standing, stooping, or kneeling. The product can vary in size from pipes, toilets, bathtubs, etc.

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Problem-solving skills.

· Strong organizational skills, and ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks.

· Continuous learning

· Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.

· Great attitude and strong work ethic.

· Forklift experience & certificate to operate counterbalance and reach certificate an asset but not required. The company will train if needed.

· Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role.
