Job Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Fredericton, NB
Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – Work Completed
Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00/hr

Advantage Personnel is seeking a Field Technician to join our support team in Fredericton, NB. This role is for a leader who thrives in dynamic environments, prioritizing excellent customer service. You will work across multiple locations in Fredericton, NB, using technology to coordinate associates. We are looking for a proactive self-starter comfortable with change and skilled in various technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support end users daily with desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. • Resolve technical issues that require hands-on assistance or exceed Service Desk capabilities.
• Deploy IT solutions for end user devices and introduce new technologies like computers, tablets, printers, VoIP phones, network gear, servers, satellite systems, and software.
• Analyze and document critical issues, escalating them as needed.
• Monitor and ensure prompt escalation of customer issues to internal teams and vendors.
• Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, and installations.
• Provide support to retail locations and client affiliates in the Saint John area.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles.
• Customer service-oriented with a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
• Physical capability to set up and deploy computer equipment.
• Proficiency in: Windows 10, Microsoft 365, Microsoft SCCM, DHCP, DNS, WiFi.
• Basic networking skills including wireless and endpoint switching (Cisco, Juniper), and client remote access.
• Certifications preferred: Network+, A+, Lenovo Hardware, Dell Hardware, Cisco Switching (CCNA).
Work Conditions:
The Field Technician role involves frequent travel to various job environments, including customer sites, retail locations, and remote areas as needed.
