Reporting to a Board of Directors, comprising both government and non-government representatives from the four Atlantic Provinces, the Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and overall management and operations of the organization, according to the strategic direction and policies set by the board of directors. The successful applicant will be capable of working independently and have comprehensive knowledge and experience in health promotion and injury prevention, research, facilitation, policy and collaborating across sectors. The location of the Executive Director is flexible within Atlantic Canada. Applicant must live in Atlantic Canada to be considered for this role.
The Atlantic Collaborative on Injury Prevention (ACIP) facilitates collaboration in injury prevention and related public health initiatives among the governments and the non-government communities in the four Atlantic Provinces. The primary focus of ACIP is to provide Atlantic and interprovincial leadership in injury prevention through surveillance and research activities, policy and advocacy, networking and partnerships, and knowledge exchange.
ACIP encourages applications from persons of colour, women, persons with disabilities, Aboriginal persons, and persons of the LGBTQIA2S+community.
