We are currently recruiting a Regional Manager, Field Operations for the Quebec region, working out of a home office based in Quebec to support the geographic market area.

The Regional Manager, Field Operations will bring expertise in field service with focus on wireless access technologies to a team responsible for the support, and maintenance of wireless ISP services infrastructure. This is a working management role. You will manage the Regional team of Field Operations Managers and Field Operations Technicians. You will also be responsible for in field technical support issues, software and hardware implementation, technical support of Dealers and their Installers. You will work closely with the Engineering team during site deployment and act as a Construction project manager liaising between Engineering and Network Operations. This position reports to the VP of Field Operations.

Key requirements include:

• Completion of related post-secondary diploma/degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the operation of fixed wireless LAN and WAN environment, with a broad knowledge of IT and business processes required in support of a wireless ISP environment.
• Sound knowledge of Motorola Canopy products and methodologies is an asset.
• CCNA/equivalent certification or relevant work experience with IP networks would be beneficial.
• Basic telecommunications construction knowledge with a proven ability and desire to work in the field.
• Well developed managerial, negotiation, project management and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a team environment, yet have the ability to work independently with minimal direction in a high stress, physically demanding environment.
• Has a broad knowledge of IT and business processes required in support of wireless ISP environments.
• Previous experience with point to multipoint wireless networks and/or VSAT networks with an ISP would be an asset.
• Proven ability and desire to work in the field.
• A valid drivers license is mandatory.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
