• Be a graduate of an approved practical nurse program or equivalent
• Hold current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia
• Hold a current CPR certificate
• Have demonstrated clinical and technical skills
• Possess excellent oral and written communications skills
• Have the ability to organize, prioritize and supervise patient care
• Demonstrate sound decision making skills
