Job Purpose
Answer customer enquires in a professional and courteous manner. Resolve issues, deliver creative solutions and enter orders. Use accepted Staples practices to ensure the delivery of outstanding service to all of our customers.
In this role you would receive incoming contacts from small to medium sized businesses in the U.S. and provide superior customer service in response to inquiries regarding Staples business products and/or services.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provide “WOW” service to our internal and external customers.
•Receive and respond to direct requests/inquiries from business customers, regarding Staples' products and services.
•Provide creative solutions for our customers and generate incremental revenue for Staples Business Delivery.
•Maintain a thorough understanding of customer service guidelines to properly recommend solutions and correct service failures for our customers.
•Use in-depth product knowledge to provide product recommendations, pricing and availability information.
•Respond quickly to internal/external Customer requests and demonstrate excellent follow up.
•Take ownership of each contact while providing speedy and thorough resolution.
•Communicate to CS management all and any updates and pertinent Staples or customer information.
•Maintain accurate and updated information for customer accounts by verifying all necessary customer information.
•Training provided during initial employment.
•Position/training commences on March 1, 2009.
•Pay: $10.20 hourly (flexible/increased pay rate applied to those with previous contact centre experience in similar role)
•Hiring for the shift 10:30am - 7:00pm Monday to Friday with a rotating shift approximately every 3rd Saturday with a lieu day during the week. Open hours on Saturday are 9:00am to 11:00pm.
Requirements
- Grade 12 Diploma OR GED completion OR equivalent work experience.
- 2 or more years of recent customer service experience.
- Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
- Minimum typing speed of 20wpm at 95% accuracy.
- Ability to commence employment March 1, 2010.
