About Us

CompuCollege had graduated to a new name, Eastern College!

For more than 20 years, over 20,000 graduates have trained for their career with CompuCollege. We started small, but have grown to offer a wide range of quality programs. It is time our name better reflected the college we are today, so we are changing it.

Eastern College is a nationally recognized educational institution, with seven campuses: Halifax, Dartmouth, Charlottetown, St. John's, Moncton, Fredericton and Saint John. We help to build brighter futures while helping students advance to a better life.

Eastern College has developed close relationships with provincial departments of education and employers throughout the Atlantic region. By attending Eastern College you will find an educational experience unlike any other institution. Eastern College works closely with students to determine their learning needs and delivers a unique, modular system of training where you will learn one subject at a time. We offer a hands-on practical approach to teaching. Classes are half-day in length offering flexibility to students who continue working or have family commitments. Students will receive support throughout their training in the form of financial assistance, peer tutoring, career coaching and employment placement.

ESTHETICS, ART AND DESIGN: Esthetics, Interior Decorating, Makeup Artistry and Design, Multimedia Graphic Design and Development.

HEALTH CARE: Acupuncture, Continuing Care Assistant /Resident Care Worker, Health Information Management, Health, Wellness and Recreation, Home Support Worker/Personal Care Attendant, Massage Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant, Personal Support Worker, Pharmacy Technician.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: Computer Service Technician, Information Systems Administrator, Information Systems Specialist+.

Career Services

The Career Services Department at Eastern College keeps in touch with every graduate and welcomes the opportunity to offer advice and career coaching on job search and interviewing skills. The door is always open for a return visit to Eastern College to discuss opportunities and approaches to obtaining and maintaining employment. Last year the Career Services Departments celebrated a placement rate of 90%.

At Eastern College, relationships are ongoing with employers to help provide suitable candidates that meet their staffing requirements. Complimentary staffing services help employers find the right candidate for the job, as well as save the expense and time of costly recruiting procedures and advertisements. We are committed to ensuring that your experience with our school will be a mutually beneficial one.

Our Career Services department has a mandate to develop partnerships with the business community while providing relevant practical experience for our students. As part of our diploma programs, students are required to complete a volunteer work placement. Our department assists both the student and the host company in the following ways:
